16th Convention Promotion Seminar (CPS) & Conventions Exhibition (CONVEX):
Tuesday, 27 October 2009 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre
TICA is proud to launch the 16th Convention Promotion Seminar (CPS) & CONVEX (Conventions Exhibition) on Tuesday, 27 October 2009 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
The programme will present case studies on successful events held in Thailand as well as tips and key techniques for winning bids. CPS will also feature “workshops” on MICE-related topics that will help organisers to understand better the dynamics of organising international conferences, available industry support and with that, to encourage them to bid for international conferences for Thailand.
The CPS is combined with a “Business” component called CONVEX (Conventions Exhibition) which is a Table Top Sales session to showcase your products and services to more than 150 potential buyers consisting of association executives, government executives and local corporate executives.
The CPS & CONVEX is TICA’s highest profile and most effective event which have delivered new business to members for the past 25 years.

25th TICA Anniversary Celebration: Tuesday, 27 October 2009
(18:30 hrs – 20:00 hrs) at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre
TICA will be organising a Cocktail function on Tuesday, 27 October 2009 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre to celebrate the association’s 25th anniversary from 18:30 – 20:00 hours at the Ballroom.
TICA’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations is being organised as part of Farewell Cocktail Reception for CPS & CONVEX on the same night at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. To mark TICA’s 25 years, the association will also be awarding Founding Members (members since 1984) with an Award to recognise their Long Standing Support.
All TICA members are invited to join this function to help celebrate this important commemorative event, “TICA Silver Jubilee, A MICE Industry Milestone”

TICA Gets First President from Private Sector
TICA has elected its first President from the Thai private sector. Khun Sumate Sudasna, Managing Director of Creative Destination Management (CDM), was elected unanimously by TICA’s 40-member board of directors at its first annual meeting on 08 April 2009.

Star Choice: Domestic Familiarisation Trip
Chiangmai: 19 - 21 December 2008
By invitation of the Thai Hotels Association - Northern Chapter, TICA in co-operation with TCEB and Thai Airways International organized a famtrip inviting a total of 36 invited buyers who are domestic corporate executives to the Rose of the North - Chiangmai. This trip was dubbed “Star Choice” as it focused on inviting only the top Buyers who organize a high number meetings and incentives annually. |

2008 Convention Promotion Seminar (CPS) & Conventions Exhibition (CONVEX)
TICA recently organized the 2008 CPS and CONVEX, where a total of 158 local government agencies and local association executives attended the 2-day event. The 2008 event marks 15 years of educational success for both the CPS and CONVEX, and is perhaps one of the more interactive conferences organised by TICA.
