Domestic Incentives and Corporate Meetings Familiarisation Visit

TICA in collaboration with TCEB and TAT recently led 20 corporate executives from multinational companies on a trip to Suphanburi and Uthaithani during 25-27July 2008 as part of the Domestic Incentive and Corporate Meeting Organiser Familiarisation project with accommodations hosted by Iyara Park & Resort.

H.E. Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sports delivered a speech on “Policy of Mainstream Tourism which Benefits the MICE Industry” at the TICA luncheon on 9 June 2008 at the Grand Hyatt Erawan, Bangkok. According to statistics, the MICE sector raised revenue of up to Baht 60 billion in 2006 from a recorded 800,000 MICE visitors.
