TICA in close co-operation
with TCEB recently led 40 invited buyers to
Pattaya for a familiarisation trip where the group was welcomed by Pattaya Governor, Ittiphol Khunplearm.
The trip featured
products and services available in Pattaya such as the PEACH, Royal Cliff Beach
Resort, 4 Regions Market, The Zign, Dusit Resort Pattaya, Amari
Orchid Resort & Tower, dusitD2 Pattaya, Rawindra Beach
Resort & Spa and Sea Sand Sun Resort & Spa.
Enroute to
Pattaya, the group also visited Khao Kiew Open Zoo and Es-ta-te Resort.
Also part of the
itinerary was Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity which took this
group of buyers to help cultivate coral at Samae Sarn, Sattaheep.

As before, the
famtrip included a Table Top Sales session for TICA members
to meet and negotiate possible business with the invited buyers which
attracted as many as 83 organisations.
Also included was
a free seminar for members, “Flexible Sales & Marketing During
Volatile Times” prior to the table top session.
NS Travel & Tours was the
officially appointed DMC for this trip.
The next famtrip
will be to Hadyai from 26-27

The Thai Pilots’ Association (THAIPA) is a 20-year
organisation with more than 1,000 members in the
country.

IFALPA Meeting is confirmed to be held at the Shangri-La
Chiangmai Hotel between 8-12 April 2011.

Committee responsible for assisting with the bidding for the
2011 event as

The Thailand
Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) officially
launched their Domestic MICE Project at the
Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre on 19 June 2009.
The one day event
included a forum discussion on the MICE industry in general as well as work
shop sessions concentrating on various aspects of event organisation and
management.
The event was
inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister Major General Sanan
Kajornprasart. The highlight event for the day featured Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva as
keynote speaker for the event.

Amongst its
activities was a table top exhibition session where TICA members along with
travel related industry members were given the opportunity to present their
products and services to the 300 invited buyers who were mainly from
government agencies and associations, as well as corporate buyers.
TICA’s President, Sumate

plenary session, “The National Policy and the Private
Sector’s Response”.
TICA’s Marketing Committee
Chairperson, Prachoom Chayabongse, spoke on, “Organising
a Conference to Impress” during the workshop session.
An exhibition on Royal
Initiative Development Projects was on display to
educate participants on the various projects implemented
by His Majesty the King.
