concerning the association and the MICE industry with you. At the Annual
General Meeting we will also be presenting TICA’s 2010 Activity Plan to
all members.
The TICA Annual
General Meeting is the most important meeting of each year, as it is a
congregation with the highest number of members and is therefore the prime
opportunity for you to field questions to the board and various committees,
network, receive industry updates as well as meet friends &
colleagues.
The 2009 TICA Annual
Report will be mailed to you in advance for your review before the

Domestic Corporate Famtrip
Sukhothai
20-22 February 2010

|
TCEB and TICA took a total to of
30 invited guests to Historical Sukhothai for a memorable 3-day familiarisation
trip.
The itinerary included a “Baisri
Ceremony”on arrival at Sukhothai followed by a
visit to an “Organic Farm” run by Bangkok Airways.
This charming activity included an earthy experience of actual rice planting
where guests were dressed in traditional Thai rice farmer garbs and also
included viewing a herd of water buffaloes bathing, as well as, picking their
own vegetables for lunch.
Probably one of the earthiest trips organised by
TCEB and TICA, the invited buyers who were expatriates from multi-national
companies were surprised and in awe of the number of diverse activities that
could be conducted in Sukhothai.
The trip included visits to the UNESCO Sukhothai
Historical Park and a Loy Krathong theme dinner conducted
with romantic cocktails held at sundown, using the ancient ruins as a venue
to a Thai style dinner on traditional mats and triangular pillows.
The trip concluded with a CSR activity where the
group contributed books and school uniforms for under privileged children at
a local school.
Overall an enjoyable
trip that was both exciting and enchanting, all guests made pledges to bring
their corporate meeting and incentive groups to Sukhothai in the near future.
The trip was conducted by Pacific
World Co., Ltd., with thanks extended to Bangkok
Airways for their support to the trip.

get input from suppliers. Incorporate environmental priorities in your
contract. Remember, it’s ok to start small - there is always room to

2. Remember the 5 Rs – Reduce and Reuse - the best way to deal with waste
is not to create it in the first place. We make it simple and obvious: we
will provide accessible, well-labeled bins and baskets for paper, aluminum
cans and whatever else can be recycled (glass, plastic, nametag
holders). Most importantly, we review all the components of your event,
from accommodations and activities to transportation and waste management; we
rethink what’s needed on how we can make your custom tailored
earth-friendly event. When making a final choice between venues, ask our
Sales team if there is one further green accomplishment we can offer to obtain
the business.
3. Go Online – We can assist you in cut
paper use and mailing costs by creating an event website, offering electronic
registration, confirmation and hotel reservations, and communicating via
email. Post presentation materials on-line or we could help in giving
out a CD instead of a paper catalogue. We are also able to post your agenda
on the in-room TV system instead of on paper flyers.
4. Green Room – At larger conferences we
designate an area for excess and gently used office supplies, as well as
